The regrowth system is for men who have a general thinning of hair on top of the scalp.
We all know it takes time to regrow hair. However, with this Kirkland Minoxidil Extra Strength for Men, results may occur at 2 months with twice daily usage. For some men, it may take at least 4 to 6 months for results to be seen.
Continued use is necessary or hair loss will begin again. If you do not see hair regrowth in 4 to 6 months, stop use. In studies with 5% Minoxidil Extra Strength Topical Solution for Men, hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical studies.
The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person. Kirkland Minoxidil Extra Strength for Men will not work for all men. Not intended for frontal baldness or a receding hairline.

 Avoid it if you do not want hives February 18, 2010

I had no allergies to anything till I used this generic product.Whenever I apply it on my scalp, I start seeing hives on my body, one of two at a time.It made my scalp extremely itchy one hour or so after applying it.I stopped using the product and hives are gone.It may be a side effect but it should have been stated on the product description. A reminder to Amazon and the vendor.
Avoid it if you think you might be allergic.

It's been about a month and my husband is seeing regrowth and more thickness in existing hair.
What really gets this stuff working is if you ex foliate your head before using product.

My hair has been thinning for 20 years. My aunt lost almost all her hair and wore a wig in her old age, not from cancer or radiation. I went to a dermatologist a year ago who gave me a prescription for a steroid cream and recommended using minoxidil 5% twice a day except every weekend replacing it with the steroid cream as well as taking a high dose biotin 5x everyday.
After 2 months I ran out of the steroid cream and take the biotin infrequently, but the Rogaine has totally solved the problem! It is like a miracle to me. I have a full head of beautiful curly hair like I did in my 20's. I rarely think about it now but when I do, I am soooooo grateful to that physician! And I buy the Rogaine on amazon because it is the best price I have found! I never plan to run out!

Ok side effects mentioned on the box are like can cause a rash, dizzines, burning scalp, upset stomach, acne, headaches. It even mentioned causing a faster than usual heart beat and or chest pains which still didn't stop me from using this product. With in a week of using this product I was experiencing cold sweats at night, extreme tiredness and sleepyness. At the same time I experienced some sexual disfunction to eventually full erectile disfunction. I gave my doctor a call and he told me that there is a very small 2 percent chance this can happen, which is why he never told me when he recomended I used Minoxidil for my hair loss. I immediately stopped using this product and guess what, cold sweats became less prominent and my manhood returned. So since I came here first to read the reviews which is why I bought this product it is only best I submit a review of my experience with this product. Please keep this in mind I wish I had read this before I used it.

You gotta try Minoxidil if you are thinning. It helps retain what hair you have and even helps with some regrowth. I can notice some fuzz in areas I had started to lose.
