I was waitign to read this and found it more for transitioners than actual Naturals, the hair style photos were wack and in black and white??
I dunno I'm glad I didnt buy this

I'm in my eight month of transitioning to natural hair and I must say that this book is great! I've searched websites and forums about natural hair which I've enjoyed, but I wanted a "one-stop" guide that covers the basics and then some. This is exactly what found--a reference that I can easily reach for when I need help for caring for my hair. I love the fact that there are homemade recipes to use for the hair and a pictures of hairstyles that I can browse through. This book answered a lot of my questions.

Has a fresh perspective written in such a way that keeps you engaged and "testifying" to all of Chris-Tia's scenarios and past situations - because we've all had the same experience! Gives you a great understanding of the history of afro-centric hair and an understanding of how to take care of it from root to tip with great advice and product recommendations. A must have!
